Tech News
The most interesting item of the day is the "Pi 3 Fastboot." The caveat is that it disables USB and Networking, which severely limits applications. Can they be started up beyond the application boot? If so then no issue. I imagine the Pi for the CarPuter booting up with the accessory circuit and the display coming on right away; at present it takes closer to 15 seconds to boot.
"RSS is Wonderful" is timely, having just written the Social Web article with some references to RSS and ActivityPub. I skimmed it but don't have strong comments on the content.
I look forward to reading the "Rules of the Metaverse" and FTC report on ISP data retention.
